• Grain Structure — Red Elm has an gorgeously bold grain pattern that stands out, however, this open grain structure is similar to walnut, paulownia, and sassafras and can be challenging to burn, especially if you are wanting soft delicate details. This wood works best for bold and deep lines, heavily-burned textures, and minimal gradient shading. 
• Pre-Sanded & Silky Smooth — Professionally sanded with a flawless finish.
• Raw & Unprimed — A clean, natural canvas that gives you full creative freedom- no gesso, ground, or sealant to burn through or paint over.
  
• Intermediate to Advanced Wood for Woodburning - As noted above, the open grain structure of this wood can be challenging to woodburn, which is why we do not recommend this wood for beginners.
