The 8" square osage canvas itself pops nicely against the dark walnut. Pieces that are just the black-and-white burn will look really nice but so will pieces with lots of color. The color will pop right out at you.
The frame is removable from the canvas with 4 rotating picture tabs on the back and is backed with a thin cardboard mat. I recommend removing the frame when working on your art piece. Seal the canvas and frame separately, FRONT AND BACK, let dry completely, and THEN reassemble.
To hang your piece, add hanging hardware to the WALNUT FRAME, not the cardboard backing mat or the osage canvas. Use small and shallow sawtooth hangers so impact on the frame is minimal. Only attach your hardware to the back of the walnut frame.
