About this event:
Join Renee from It's David and Renee for a fun woodburning experience! Bring a BFF, spouse, parent, or friend, and create some memories while you learn the unique art of pyrography.
In this 2-hour class, we'll start with instruction on how to use a professional woodburning tool and time to practice on a piece of scrap wood.
You'll get step-by-step instructions on how to burn various lines and textures. You'll then move on to your class project!
This class will be relaxed and full of fun, where there are no "mistakes." You'll be encouraged to let go of worries about standards of perfection, and just enjoy the freedom of creating in this medium that is tactile, meditative, and empowering. See you there!
FAQs
Q: What do I need to bring?
A: Just yourself! And don't forget your glasses, if you wear them.
Q: Will I leave with my project?
A: Yep! You will take home your project at the end of the class.
Q: Can I create a different design instead?
A: Sure, but the instruction will be on the design(s) provided. Feel free to bring your own templates or designs if you'd like.
Q: What is your refund policy?
A: We will always grant you a future class credit if you're unable to attend the class, but due to the nature of renting and reserving, we cannot give refunds. But that's okay, because you'll have a class credit to redeem at whatever future class you choose!
However, if the class is canceled by us at any time, you will be given the choice of a refund or a future class credit. This includes cancellations due to winter weather, COVID restrictions, store policies, and personal emergencies.
Q: Are food and drink allowed? Well...
A: Preferably not, because food grease or sticky residue will mar the surface of the wood by leaving fingerprints and oily smudges. This cannot be fixed during class. If you do bring along a snack or a drink, I ask that you be extremely careful around the machines.
Be VERY careful with liquids on the table. If you spill, it can ruin your art, your neighbor's art, and kill the machines.***
***NOTE: Our professional woodburning units are expensive, and any damage incurred to our units will be the responsibility of the participant to replace. These charges can reach over $200. By purchasing a ticket to this class, you agree to these terms.***
