Pollinators dance in this cozy wisteria bower while a curious mouse savors the show. Luckily for us, wallflowers are welcome here, and we need not dance to join in the fun. It is enough to simply be.
Renee created this piece on a cherry wood canvas with a mix of vibrant colors and whimsical woodburning. Her careful composition captures the dense, closed-in feeling of natural undergrowth while her accents, burned and brushed, keep the viewer’s eye moving with the scene. The use of specialty metallic and color-shift watercolor paints brightens the scene that might have been dark on the rich cherry wood. It is as though we, on an evening romp, have parted the forest foliage and been rewarded with this quaint surprise. As an added bit of life, the natural aging of the wood grain will deepen and darken its color over time. The owner of this piece will be able to enjoy the gradual shift as the bees and ladybugs waltz through an everlasting evening amid the shimmering leaves and bright blossoms.
- This cherry panel is ~8X10".
- Sawtooth hanger installed on the back for quick hanging.
- Sealed with acrylic lacquer.
- Do not place in direct sunlight, as this causes the woodburning to fade.
